Pastor Travis Ephriam

Originally from Marianna, FL Travis Ephriam is the youngest of three children born to Thomas and Vinnie Ephriam.  He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 8 at Jerusalem A.M.E church under the leadership of Rev. Robinson.  At Jerusalem he learned how to be of service in the Lord’s house and served as an Assistant Sunday School teacher, Jr. Trustee, Trustee, Steward and Financial Secretary.  Travis was called into the Christian ministry and gave his initial sermon in 2012 at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dwight Cockerham.  Under the leadership of Pastor Cockerham at Mt. Tabor Travis grew in the service of the Lord serving as associate Pastor, Adult Sunday school teacher, and Technology coordinator.  He was ordained as a minister of the Gospel in 2013.

He has acquired degrees from Chipola College, The Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University otherwise known as FAMU and the University of West Florida.  Travis is an educator with a career that has spanned over 20 years in the local school system and in the Federal Government. 

Travis believes that we all should minister through our service and he is active in several community organizations.  He is currently the President of the North West Florida, Florida A&M University Alumni Association.  He has served on the boards of Chipola Area Habitat, Chipola Career Source, Jackson County Tourism Development Board and is the former mayor and current city commissioner for the City of Marianna.

Travis seeks to impact the world around him through service and Biblical principles.  He believes we are all called by Matthew 5:16 to “Let our light so shine so others may see our good works and glorify our Father which is in heaven.”.  Travis is married to D’Leisha and they have three wonderful boys Travis, Jr., Emanuel and Kingston and they reside in Marianna, Florida.
